Clipper cut
25 minClippers and guards, one length or tapered up the sides and back. Quick, tidy and easy to keep.
Book: Clipper cutTroy, New York
Walk in Tuesday to Saturday, or book a chair ahead. We are taking on new regulars, and families sit in the same row.

The visit
A cut alone is shorter. Add the neck shave, the hot towel and the finish when you like, and this is how the time goes.
Say how you want it, or say "the usual." Your barber looks at the hair and the way it grows before the clippers come on.
Clippers and scissors to the line you asked for, blended, checked and checked again.
Warm lather and a straight razor along the neckline and around the ears.
A hot towel over the face and neck, left on long enough to do its work.
Brushed down, combed through and a look in the mirror. Then the next visit goes on the calendar if you like.
Walk-ins
Come in Tuesday to Saturday and take a seat. Chairs fill in the order people arrive.
If you want a particular barber, say so when you sign the sheet. His wait is his chair's wait, and it can be shorter or longer than the rest of the floor.
Sign the sheet by the door and take a seat on the bench
Booked clients are seen at their time, and the line waits
Waits vary; the sheet shows who is next
We stop adding names 30 minutes before close

From the owner
I opened this shop on River Street with one chair, a borrowed strop and a few regulars who were willing to wait. There are three chairs now, and more faces, but the visit has not changed.
You sit down, we talk and nobody rushes you. If your grandfather came to see me, bring your grandson. If you are new to Troy, take a chair; you will be a regular before long.
